If so, the Wales Veterinary Science Centre (WVSC), an independent diagnostic laboratory in the heart of Wales, is looking for a Centre Manager to help bring its vision to fruition.
Answerable to the Board of Directors and supported by a dedicated Management Team and Staff, you will be responsible for:
- Management and responsibility of all the Centre activities and ensuring the efficiency, quality and integrity of all that we do.
- Acting as an ambassador for the WVSC, liaising with stakeholders to maintain and strengthen links and identify new opportunities.
- Ensuring the requirements of ISO 17025 are met and therefore the effectiveness of the Management System is maintained.
- Maintaining a healthy and safe workspace for all.
Skills Required:
Essential
- Knowledge of animal disease legislation in Wales
- Management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
- Excellent communication & IT skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Motivated and driven
Desirable
- Welsh language (spoken and written)
- HR experience
- Knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting
- Social media and marketing skills
- Knowledge of Quality Systems

Terms and Conditions
- Full time or part time, all possibilities considered.
- Pro-rata holiday allowance is 20 days plus bank holidays (open to negotiation for the right candidate).
- 5 hour working day (37.5 hrs/week) but flexibility expected due to seasonality of work.
- Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 16:30 (flexible for the right candidate).
- Salary according to experience £37,099.00 – 44,263.00 pro-rata.
